This weekend I decided on a lark to head up to Spruce Knob, WV. I'd been there before (decades ago) so I wasn't disappointed (for being the highest point in WV, Spruce Knob isn't all that spectacular...better views are available from other places and Dolly Sods is more alpine like.)

At any rate, this got me to thinking that maybe it's time for me to start working on accumulating "highest points in the state of..." for each of the states. I'll never finish this because I will never go climb Mt. Whitney (let alone that big mountain in Alaska).

Still, I've now visited 48 states (North Dakota and Hawaii are the missing ones.) So I've got to have some OTHER reason to go places. :)

Mount Washington calls me...Hmm. Maybe next summer.
