I've got no opinion on Red Tek. But I've been using Duracool (one of the propane derivative freons) and just converted my Westy to it this weekend. Be aware that it may be illegal in some states (Maryland, Virginia plus DC for sure)...but in weather like we're having (90+ with very high humidity) it works so effectively I had to lower the themostat setting and lower the speed of the fans to stave off the goose bumps.

PS I have no affiliation with Duracool, other than being a satisfied customer.
