I dunno ... All things being equal (Vanagon weight, plane weight, impact speed), regardless of whether the Vanagon hit the plane or the plane hit the Vanagon, wouldn't the results be the same? As a kid, I remember riding my bike up to the neighborhood junkyard and muscling my way through the crowd of gawkers (of which I was now one) to see what was left of a Ford LTD or some such huge American car that had recently run a stop sign and driven beneath a semi trailer, shearing off the entire roof. Along with the heads of the four occupants. It was a gruesome sight which I recalled years later when I started driving ...
