It really is a non-issue, my junk yard VW Heidelburg cassette stereo was all of $35. No one is going to bother stealing one of these babies.

If just any ol' Joe (or Jay or Jeff) can easily obtain the code from the dealer, then where's the theft security?

And how come the used unit I bought on eBay works without asking for any sort of code?

Am I missing something here ..?
