Try Flying J. We just came across country and I cannot say enough good things about that chain. Good coffee, great showers and a safe place to sleep at night. (Stealth camping. If in Westy, don't pop the top.) The one in Davenport, IA was especially good. Good enough that the corporation is going to get a nice letter. Because of their attitude, we fueled there exclusively. Their deal is $6.50 for a shower. After 3 days in 90/90 weather, $6.50 was a bargain. If the clerk is feelin especially benevolent, the shower is $5.00 refundable towel deposit. (Flying J issues long-haul drivers coupons for showers and other perks when buying fuel. Often the truckers don't bother to use them. If the clerk 'likes' you and your attitude, you get to use them.) Be sure to pick up a "Frequent Fueler" card. Using it almost always ensured 'prefered' attention. And buy your fuel first. Procedure was fuel using card. Pull off island and go to pay. Tell cherk, "We need a shower, please." Pay whatever they ask. (Note: seperate showers for you and yours....) Thank the clerk.

Jim
