Showering is of particular concern for us winter campers since lakes, rivers, and outdoor solar showers are not an option. I do a lot of Westy camping in ski resort towns and I must recommend taking advantage of the resort facilities (hot tubs, spas, etc). If you've never done it before it can be fun trying to sneak into these places. I was trained by my parents at a young age. The trick is to blend in and like you belong there. I always carry snow white hotel towels in the Westy because having a blue beach towel at one of these resorts is a dead giveaway that you aren't staying there. I also find that the fancier the resort community the easier it is to sneak into the pools and spas. If you're ever in Vail, CO just walk around the village and check out all the outdoor hot tubs and spas available to you. There's nothing better than free camping in the Westy then a nice long soak in a hottub at some $300 a nite resort after a day of skiing.
