If you are constantly re tensioning the belt, you need to look for a mechanical problem and/or get a better quality belt. I like the idea of the serpentine. The conversion should include an automatic tensioner and definitely an idler pulley located to increase the wrap around the crank pulley.

Is anyone interested in having a company build a custom set for the WBX to replace the current belt setup?

I am getting tired of readjusting my alternator belt every few months to adjust for wear and making the squeaking quieter when I run the A/C (it is the alternator belt that seems to wear a lot and causes the noise...). I found a company that custom builds Serpentine belt set ups for the T1 engines. I am in the process of determining if a set can be made for the WBX engine. If you are interested let me know and we can go from there.

Do not know about cost yet, could be @$300+ - a set. Price discount for groups of 10+

Robert
