Maneuverability is not necessary when you're BenT. Bigger may not necessarily be better but it is not necessary a bad thing.

In Europe there is such a smorgasbord of hightops. Unfortunately, the few are available to those of us in the US. So the point is moot. Hightops cost about as much as a whole vehicle to ship stateside. Makes one wonder if any of the hightops available for domestic (US) vans can be modified to fit Vanagons. I saw a really cool hightop on a Ford ambulance. Nice 444 ci diesel. Cost as much as a rebuild on a WBX. I just couldn't get past the idea that 50-60 people met their demise in there every year for the 9 1/2 years it was in service. :(
