Subject: Pop-Top Mold Gone W/ No Scrubbing!
Content-Type: text/plain

I have been unable to get rid of the mold on the interior of the pop-top. Used plenty of products (carpet cleaner, West Marine Mildew / Mold killer, bleach/water solutions, etc) but had no luck. Since I was replacing the canvas, I pulled the entire top, in hopes of trying again, but fully expecting to dye the fuzz - even bought the dye.

Well anyway, I put the top in the sun, and tried bleach / water solution again, scrubbed and had no luck, So I went to get eggs from the chicken coop and a few other items came back and the mold, most of it anyway, was gone! I made another batch 3/4 cup to gal of H2O and soaked the top and let it set, and all the molds is now gone!

Used the remainder to clean the outside of the top (even the chicken poop from where the birds walked over it.

So, if you are replacing the canvas and have a moldy interior, I recommend taking the pop-top off where you can put it in the sun and hose it off later. (also painted the inside of the pop-top while it was off.)

Tomorrow - new canvas on - I hope!
