Hi John,

I have trouble seeing why "flat" towing is very much different than regular
driving under power.  There is no internal oil pump as in an automatic to
worry about.  All of the gears get the same use as normal use (almost, The
opposite thrust faces get the contact).  I believe this has been bounced
around a few times and in fact  is mentioned in the Bentley as fine.   I see
no need to drop the drive shaft or any other precautions other than making
sure you're in neutral.

Hi all,
Wondering about towing a syncro.  Only need to go about 12 miles.  I do have
a tow dolly.  Can I just disconnect the drive shaft and tow with two wheels
down?  Which two down, front or back? The van came without an owners manual
so I can not look this up. It is also engineless at this time.
