The PO of my '85 Westy thought the seat had to be removed to access the
battery.  He didn't know to swivel the seat around to face backwards.
Perhaps the new owner of the bolt on swivel mechanism was "in the same
boat".


The other comments .... like the lack of a battery cover shows that the
purchaser's hadn't owned or closely examined a Westy to see how it
should be done.


I have no first hand knowledge of the bolt on swivel ..... just some
thoughts.
