Its kind of a apples vs. oranges answer.

Depends on what you want to do with it.

If the van is parked unused for long periods of time .. A small trickle charge (say 1 to 1.5 watts) would be fine.

If you are looking to recharge the battery while camping, then the short answer is .... The more watts the better.

The long answer is "one has to calculated their electrical consumption and do some simple math to se how big a panel would be needed.

What type of wattage should one get on these solar battery trickle chargers...is it 1.5 watts? Just didn't know if more or less is better.
