I have 225/60R16's and one in the carrier I got from Volks Cafe. Check my
pics at the link below, then look for "spare tire carrier" link .... may be
in the "pictures" folder.

I know the tires I am running won't fit.  I too would like to know what
others are doing.
I have 14" and 205 or 215's.  I was planning on having a guy remove the
hinges to the carrier and extend them
a little or enough to get the tire to fit.

I was looking through the archives but did not get a clear answer on

I am planning to fit the original factory alloys on my westy with
215/75/14's
soon and figured i should get a 5th for the spare. Are there issues
with
a larger tire fitting in the spare carrier?

i figured I'd ask first before getting a rude suprise.
