Same engine. Add turbo, fuel enrichment system, wastes gates, etc....

I own four turbo vehicles out of over a dozen.

More is NOT always better. And yes to answer your question. One of my Vanagons DOES run better w/o a restrictive paper aircleaner, w/o the AC compressor, & w/o the PS pump. Is it more comfortable or fun? I will save that for another day.
