It must be the season... A nice silver mercedes convertible went up in flames downtown on wednesday. We were approaching an intersection and the car was on the other side, nose end in the driveway of a gas station. Flames were just pouring out of the hood area... The fire department was only a block away, but by the time they got there and put it out it was probably totalled. Check those fuel lines!!!!! Pop Quiz... *Do you have a good fire extinguisher in your van?* I have one in every vehicle I own and several spread around the house and garage. They are SO cheap compared to the cost of a fire.... I've never had to use an extinguisher on any of my own vehicles, but I used one to put out a nice lady's VW beetle in Oakland in about 1980, and again used one to extinguish a chevy camaro in Santa Rosa about 10 years ago. Don't leave home without it folks! You never know when you'll need it '86 Westy "Escape Pod" |
