Hi All, I'm looking to install an air conditioning (A/C) system in my '84 Automatic Westfalia. It came from the factory without one. I am thinking about purchasing a new aftermarket system. My other option is to remove one from a part van, refurbish it and install it. I plan on doing all the installation myself. I want to get the lists opinion on the following: - Recommendations on equipment & installation. - Things to watch out for. - Refrigeration fluid recommendation. - Aftermarket A/C providers. - Types of compressors recommendations. - Anyone selling/parting out their A/C system. I live in Sacramento, CA and during the summer see a lot of days in the 100s. I have read all the messages at Vanagonair on Yahoo Groups and obsorbed all the information that was there. Well, obviously it's not a simple answer. I'm just trying to collect more info before I start purchasing equipment. Thanks again, Blake Heinlein '84 Westy Automatic Sacramento, CA |
