Sounds like good advice. I always rinse the van itself down after a day at the beach (especially here in Daytona where we can drive on the beach) but I can see where a salty mess of a board could cause trouble if thrown on top of an unsuspecting wolfsy, especially since my roof's paint is somewhat oxidized as it is. Maybe a gallon of unsalted H2O assigned to board rinsing would be an under bench seat requirement in case the beach doesn't provide showers.
