Gents, in VW TRENDS issue number 7 Volume 22, July 2003 on page 70. Is an article about the use of synthetic oils in air cooled VW. By using a infrared gun they measure the temp at various location on the engine, bay and accessories. The inescapable data indicates that in deed the synt. runs cooler, much cooler in places.
