Inside one of the pipes is a restricter.  If you look at the old plastic one
you will see this as well.  Any new one I would think should also have this
restriction inside.  Just FYI.

Any reason not to make this part up from some copper pipe?  Seems like
it wouldn't be too hard to solder some up if there was a pipe size that
was close enough -- or else use some hose barbs.
