putting a gun to your head with 1 bullet in it, and pulling the trigger, 25 separate times, does not prove that it is safe to do.

I'm simply saying that putting wheels and/or tires under rated for the application is Darwinism IMO. I never said anything about the stock wheels or tires. I have oversized rims and tires on my Vanagons, but they meet the safety rating. What happens if the insurance company finds out (if they would or not is another story) that a vehicle's wheels/tires are not rated for that application, in a rollover? You think they will still payout even if it's not your fault?

I'm not playing the moral's police, but if someone chooses to play with fire, that's their business. I sure as hell am not going to RECOMMEND IT. In today's litigatious society, you risk being sued if someone claims they followed your recommendation on tires/wheels, even though they don't meet safety ratings. Though I haven't heard of this happening yet, it is only a matter of time.That is your business, not mine. Knock yourself out.
