Subject: 91 GL "dies when hot" issue resolved
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

A while back I posted about my 91 GL dying when the motor heated up - a few of you were right on that it was most likely the Hall sender (my mechanic is replacing with a new distributor). So thanks for the direction on this.

Also, he mentioned that fuel pressure was low (to the tune of like 25 psi). I will need to replace the fuel pump some time soon - is it in the gas tank? with limited tools and such, is it feasable to tackle this one on the vanagon solo?

One more, is the fuel filter under the van on the driver side rear?

Thanks, Dan (man I need a factory repair manual) Haydon
