I'm 6'4" or 6'3" so I sleep with my head in the middle of the bus and feet toward the back at an angle so there is plently of length. Of course this is when I'm alone camping after work somewhere. If I had a family member with me, it would have to be head toward the hatch. Can't fit parallel to the seats without bending the knees all night.

Hey, I got a great little fan from Napa. It looks like a furnance barrell type fan but it is real small and has guards so you can't stick your hand in it. It'll be perfect for those stuffy nights. It is 110 V ac only. I also use a camping mosquito net for the back hatch.

I have used both ways, and depending on heat, or lack thereof, I can see some advantages either way. Convenience getting in or out is another matter.
