They will be plenty strong enough for a van not loaded to the max. If you never do load it up fully you should be OK. Lots of these vans in Germany with big wheels & low tires... and I see plenty of commercial Japanese vans here with ordinary alloys. NEVER heard of an alloy wheel breaking under normal use (except for Speedline magnesium motorcycle wheels, but that metal is insane for use in road wheels anyway).
