Subject: Floppy drive for Sony digital camera wanted

I have a Sony Mavica FD88 digital camera. The floppy drive has failed.

So I need either a dead camera with good drive, or else a bare drive unit. I don't know for sure, but other Mavica floppies will probably fit.

I could also use a battery... these are Sony NP-series lithium-ion batteries. (NOTE: I have a Sony video camera which takes NP-dseries batteries; these have only the 2 terminal sockets in one end. The Mavica takes an identical-seeming battery... but this one has an exposed [ground?] contact at the other end. The types are not interchangable, though they will physically fit perfectly into the wrong camera). So: an NP-series battery with a bare contact at the "blank" end opposite the end with 2 sunken round contacts. -- Andrew Grebneff 165 Evans St, Dunedin, New Zealand 64 (3) 473-8863 <andrew.grebneff@stonebow.otago.ac.nz> Fossil preparator Seashell, Macintosh & VW/Toyota van nut
