A friend of mine said just that to her insurance company when her Nova was totalled, they offered her $1200 for a car that had at least $10000 sunk into it. After producing all the receipts and service records and telling them to just get her the same car in the same condition, they ended up settling on around $8000... just don't accept less and keep your receipts! > My argument is always, "OK, you go get it, > change the title, plate it, inspect it, deliver it to my door. > I don't want your money"
