       Shawn, you need a fuel pressure tester for high pressure application.  
Canadian Tire has one that can be adapted to fit on the Vanagon.  Connect to 
the fuel line T near the distributor.  The small screw in the T is for tester 
connection.  Remove the screw and attach a hose with a clamp, it must fit well 
and tight.  Connect other end to the tester you purchased.  Test away 
according to specs in the Bentley.
