It's the boot located on the intake air distributor. There are 4 boots all together. The left lower one is the one leaking ..... thanx, Tracy

I'm not sure what boot you're talking about, but if you mean there is a leak between the AFM and the throttle-body, then the AFM is going to be reading an extremely low amount of air-flow while the leak allows an extremely high amount of air to flow to your throttle, so that's why it would run absolutely terribly. About the clamps and replacing, them, I don't know. But you'll figure it out. I'm picturing in my head that the boot directly before the throttle body is nothing more than a soft rubber sleeve that you ought to be able to just wiggle into place to stop all leaks, but I don't have a vanagon anywhere near me to check. Best of luck, I hope it's an easy fix.
