Yes! All Transporters, Buses, Vanagons & Trucks are "Type 2", with the specific designation specified from there (251, 225, 214, etc)

The "T" designation comes from the run of vehicle: T1a - 1950-1955 "Barndoor" Split-Window Bus T1b - 1956-1967 Split-Window Bus T2 - 1968-1979 "Bay Window" Bus T3 - 1980-1992 Vanagon & Transporter T4 - 1993-2003 Eurovan/Caravelle T5 - 2004-
