I'd say the only argument is that a light and buzzer might catch your attention more quickly than a gauge reading low.

Why not get one of the dual VDO sensors, and rewire the system so the light and buzzer only go off when that one sender trips? You'd still get the benefit of a low pressure warning buzzer, but without the complexity of the stock system.
