I've been using the Valvoline Synpower in our Van for 3 or 4 years and also in our 96 Passat and our late (as in deceased) 87 Golf for about the same time. No problems at all with the brake or clutch hydraulics, but I'm careful to totally flush the hydraulics out every two years.
