I'm not sure about model year changes, etc., but my `84 westy's canvas was screwed in. Same tight spots, though.

Feel free to p-mail me directly with any questions as i have just completed this not too long ago (and it turned out quite nice...)

To answer the original question though: "medium difficulty, large hassle"
