The low side fitting is probably behind the plastic in the pillar on the left side (drivers side) of the D pillar (i.e. that pillar immediately to your left when you open the rear hatch.

It if was converted to R134, it should probably have a blue cap. The high side is a red cap. Black cap on schrader valve (like a tire valve) is the R12 style connector (it should have been replaced with the quick connect fittings when it was converted to R134).

The first thing is to check the pressure. If the pressure is okay, then you can start looking elsewhere (like fuses, thermostats or wiring.)
