If you don't want to spend the bucks right now on getting it rebuilt, pull out the console, flip it over and take the speedometer out of the back. Chances are the gear that rolls the odometer has wiggled its way out from the gear it connects with. Just push it back in.

I have to do this every 2-3 months. It is a pain. One way to help the gear stay on track longer is to never reset the trip odometer while you are rolling.
