Our '90 came w/ (brand new) Goodyear passenger tires on it when we bought it. Cornered like a marshmellow and wobbled 'n weaved in sidewinds, when passing trucks or being passed. Damned frightening at times. Replaced the rears w/ Agilis earlier in the year and things got MUCH better. Save the $$ and replaced the fronts today. What an AMAZING difference. Passed several trucks on the two lane near my house and didn't even know they were there. -------- Could have really used them this past weekend during a 300mi out 'n back trip to sample surf on the outer banks of NC. LOTS of wind meant constantly steering to the west. Blea. Gotta love the van, however. Two people up front and one sleeping in the back. Pulled one jump and the 9'6" board slid right in. The other board is 10'4" and hangs from a bar suspended from the coat hooks. Plenty of room for people, board, gear and all the sand that finds it's way home! Also, this is the only car I've had where I feel relaxed and not in pain after a few hours on the road. john |
