Come on, Jeff, red top, green top, yellow top: what is the difference? the plastic case in a battery can be any color you want. Inside is the same. Optima is an experimental battery that uses gel instead of water/acid mix to produce voltage. The chemicals used in this battery have not been perfected, and they use us, the consumers, to tell them what is wrong with their product. Get a good Sears battery that will have a great warranty and you will be ok for 5 or 6 years. Armando
