I think the company that builds imitation westys on Ford vans offers this option for a big extra charge.
The company you're talking about is Quigley (sp?) that converts Fords and Chevy's to 4 wheel drive for about 6K, not really a bad price considering. It's my understanding you can order this right through the dealer. Check out the 4 X 4 Sportsmobile Ford- price is about $76,000.00!! Makes a Syncro look like a bargain, even at it's original price.
