Armando The last 'car' battery I had lasted less than 6 months as my auxilary battery. It works fine as a primary battery in my Jetta now. I've had the Optima for over a year now and it will still run my portable Dometic fridge for at least 7 hours after at least 20 cycles. The 'car' battery would do it five or six cycles, then it's performance would deteriorate rapidly to the point where it would only work for an hour before losing its charge completely. For my application, the Optima is the best choice I have found so far. The cost of the battery isn't the issue, it's keeping the functionality of the refrigerator. Thanks,
