Phil, I did not intend to insult anybody by expressing my opinions about
Optimas, and if I did, I apologize to all. I try to contribute to this forum
by sharing my experience in the use of Optima batteries, which in my case
was a negative experience. Several others in this forum had very positive
experiences, and I am happy for them. The price was not the issue. I think
this discussion started around the issue of a Vanagon alternator not being
able to charge an Optima battery, and I thought it was a very strong
possibility that the problem was the battery, not the alternator. But, then
again I've been wrong before. Good luck to all. Armando
