A couple months ago I did a ton of front suspension work on the Westy. It drives and handles much better, but now I have this terrible rubbery squeek/groan that comes from the upper control arm bushings. It's REALLY obnoxious, and both sides do it when there's any front suspension activity. I tried squirting a bit of silicone lube on the bushings, but no change.... Has anyone else had this problem? What to do? Is there something inferior about some brands of bushings? I got 'em from one of our FOLV. (Friendly On Line Vendor) Did I do something wrong during assembly? Does anyone have any good suggestions besides pressing them out and starting over again with a new set? It's driving me absolutely CRAaAZzyyY !! Thanks for any good advice before I tear my hair out... Steve '86 Westy "Escape Pod" |
