Plan to mount the ac in the passenger or driver window while camping, will
transport it along with other gear and the generator on my ATV trailer where
we usually carry the gas as well. It's a dual axle trailer with inertia
brakes that weighs about 1800#'s loaded. Anyone got dwgs or sketches for an
AC mounting device in the window?
Any other alternatives you are aware of? Anyone mount a receiver hitch on
the front of a Westy? Could be a spot for some additional storage capacity
with one of those attachments made of expanded metal that you see on the
back of trucks & SUV's.
TIA
Pedro

You might want to look into the Honda 2000 generator. The Honda can be
converted to run on propane. (www.propane-generators.com), but I'm unsure
if this is a good idea or not... propane has less energy, but also
produces less pollution. On the other hand, I hate the idea of carrying
around "extra" cans of gas for the generator. The other major advantage
of the Honda is that it is very quite. It's also expensive. The
cheapest I've found it is around $850.
Where and how are you gonna mount the AC?
