This was sent to me, about that weird VW motorhome ebay auction I posted earlier in the week. Thought the rest of you would find it interesting/amusing. :> ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Thu, 24 Jul 2003 01:06:55 -0400 From: JKle379184@aol.com To: gull@gull.us David; The motor home was made up here by a small RV shop. I had a Co-worker who had one years ago. They would strip the body off from a van and use the frame and drive train. They look and are built like a trailer. My friend mounted two 20Lb propane tanks on the front of his and had the front bumper welded up to look like a hitch. His used to laugh when he drove it because on comming cars thought that it was a trailer that had come loose. This is for real. There used to be another one that sat in an old junk yard 20 miles west of Midland. I remember looking inside it. Just like a small camper. The front windshield looks like a normal camper window. Sorry to use E-Mail. Everytime I sign up up for the list my AOL gets swamped and shuts down. Jeff |
