If you're in "maintenance" mode you might as well go ahead and replace the fuel injector seals. 4 large and 4 small will do it. -------------------- Clip ----------------------- I just went through the fuel line replacement procedures and also replaced the injector seals, LG & SM. I wasn't real keen on using the hose with the outer fabric braid but I opted for it in this situation. I prefer the Goodyear FI hose because it is smooth on the exterior and doesn't collect dirt, oil or hide cracks and splits. It's a mystery to me how long the fuel lines should last. I've never had a Vanagon that didn't need the hoses replaced, that's about six in eight years. In addition I've never seen good SM seals on any of the Vanagons I've owned. Since the lower small seals are generic in nature I'm thinking that there are possibly better seals out there than what we're getting. (I only say this because I found a set of red silicone seals that were very old but still in very good shape.) In a tight I've taken a razor blade and cut lower small seals from FI line, works good but long term might not handle the heat. My idle and throttle response both improved with the new lower seal install.
