Steve...a tired syncro ring or the syncro teeth on the gear itself maybe...hard to tell without looking. My suggestion is to ghange the gear oil and use Redline MT 90 or another name brand synthetic thats GL4 rated and 75-80 or 75-90 weight. Your present oil may have lost its coefficient of friction and can't handle the heat...Worth a try. Daryl of AA Transaxle Duvall, WA. Every so often I get a grinding noise when going into 2nd gear. It's almost like I didn't push the clutch down. The weird thing is, it only happens after driving the van in traffic, meaning I need to shift many times. Any input on this?

Steve
