Hi Fred,

I was at the tire store last weekend and had the same problem. I believe that I have traced the problem to worn upper control arm bushings and an alignment.

Volks,

I've just had the tires rotated on my '89 Westy because I noticed the inside rib of each front showed slight dishing or cupping. They have probably been on about 5000 miles. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

I'm having a bout of back pain or I'd go out and check the steering and suspension for wear, although things seem pretty tight by the way the van handles.

Is there an alignment adjustment that can be made that might stop the above wear pattern? Could it be worn shocks?

Any advice appreciated.

Fred 89 Westy
