Actually, yes. I don't know if you were aware that when the VR6 went into the Eurovan, the VW spec on it was 150hp. But the same engine in the Corrado was 178hp (172hp in the GTI).

VW retuned (or detuned) the engine for better torque, and less hp for the bigger vehicle.
