I wish I had that much confidence in VW. It seems like about the time I learn to trust VW again, they release products with horrible flaws and then support them badly. Don't get me wrong, I love my Vanagon and I'm somewhat attached to my Passat but these are my LAST Volkswagens. I don't use a Mac, but the Mac's reliability were on the the level with my Vanagon and Passat, I'd feel VERY comfortable in my continued choice of Microsoft as a platform with which to run my graphic design consultancy.

Right now the Vanagon has actually surpassed the Passat in reliability. At 215,000 miles compared to the Passat's 55,000. Perhaps there's just a lot less to go wrong with the Vanagon.
