Stock dampers are made to a price. Period. They are far from optimal... they do the job... just... when new, and don't improve with age. That is, they are LCD (lowest common denominator) and mediocre.

The factory engineers would LIKE to fit GOOD units. The beancounters won't let them. Hence too the wasserboxer and transmission shortcomings.
