That's probably the fan in back making noise- you can peek at it with a flashlight through the top vent grille hole when it's dark out. When the noise comes back again look at the fan with the flashlight.Usually the bearings dry out- when the bearings get dry you can sometimes save them by lubing them with 3-in-One oil or equivalent- or, change the fan to a brushless computer type.

Just got back from a trip to the beach in the Westy. We made it back under our own power so lets just say that the trip will be considered a success :) kind of like any landing you can walk away from is a good landing..... one of the things that went wrong was with the fridge, we were running it on propane while driving, and it began making noise, like it was boiling over. So we shut it down for a half hour and then restarted it. Well it did it another couple times and it got to be annoying to go back and shut the thing off but we kept on shutting it off for fear of hurting something. We have used this fridge alot while driving before and never had this problem. What causes the noise and would we have hurt it if we had just left it on and kept driving. We continued to use the fridge and it never gave us any problem on our nice level camping sites.
