I'd be thankful they fit at all. I bought a couple upper control arm/wishbone bushings from an on line vanavendor who swore up+down they were for 84' vanagon.I had a machine shop press them in the wishbone. The bushings have never seated right and i still have some play when pulling the wheel forward and back...no matter HOW tight the spindle is(tested while on jacks) i measured the new bushing and old bushing and the new ones are 1/8" shorter....mysterious!
