Subject: Anyone have the VW piston wrist pin puller?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed

Does anyone in the Seattle area own one of the specialized tools for pulling the piston wrist pin on a Waterboxer? If you have one of these goodies and are willing to lend I would be eternally grateful. Otherwise it's off to the VW dealer tomorrow to order one.

Re-installing the cylinders on a Waterboxer is a pain in the posterior. They were too wedged into the cylinder head to leave them in place when I removed the right head to replace a poorly installed water jacket gasket (which was installed improperly 6K ago by a shop of good reputation in Berkeley!).

Cheers. Rob
